As part of the new Lightning Storm Pack by Nike, we unboxed the brand new Hyper Pink/Black Mercurial Superfly.
This new colourway is part of Nike,s new Flash Lighting Strom Pack for the kick off of the 2015-16 season. Essentially this colourway is an invert of the Silver Storm Superfly launched in May 2015. This is arguably the brightest colourway to be produced for the Nike Mercurial Superfly since its launch in mid 2014. This time round the boot uses a two-tone colour design with Hyper Pink colouring the entire boot with touches of black seen on the Swoosh logos and tip of the Dynamic Fit Collar.
This is the 14th official colourway for the Nike Mercurial Superfly and this is easily the brightest colourway of the lot. If you want to stand out on the pitch this Summer then these Pink Nike mercurial Superfly IV Lighting Storm boots will do the job. Explosive speed and acceleration is what these boots are all about and expect some of the biggest names in football to headline this colourway in the coming weeks including Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Javier Pastore. The most noticeable feature to the Mercurial Superfly is the Dynamic Fit Collar which is made up of a woven material dubbed FlyKnit. The collar is designed to lock down your foot into the shoe for a sock-like feel and fit resulting in a more responsive feel and fit. The FlyKnit material spans from heel to toe of the boot and is arguably the softest material on the market similar to what is seen on the Magista Obra. In hand you can just see how soft the material is in hand. An additional super thin synthetic layer dubbed NikeSkin is added on top of the FlyKnit for extra durability and touch. The woven material actually has a bit of texture to it to help with control at high speeds.
Like what is seen on the new Phantom II boot, Brio cables merge in with the laces to lock down your foot into the shoe again enhancing that responsive feel and fit for quicker acceleration and traction. ACC is used on this Hyper Pink Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boot for a consistent touch in both wet and dry conditions. Featured on previous Mercurial generations is the carbon fibre plate which is one of the most responsive and lightweight soles on the market. It delivers explosive speed in all directions while the Vapor traction pattern uses direct-inject blades which dig in the ground at higher velocities for instant acceleration.
